“What I love most about my job is that I can provide pain relief to people using
only my own two hands.”

After suffering a lower back injury in my late teens and seeing that injury worsen to a debilitating level during early adulthood, I was profoundly inspired by the professionals whose treatment ultimately led to complete elimination of my own pain. That inspiration led me to study therapeutic massage at the Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy. The clientele of the AAIMT student-clinic took notice of my passion in making me the most requested massage therapist during my time there. I previously worked as a massage therapist at a chiropractor’s office and ensured my clients’ treatment needs were met. I am very passionate about therapeutic value of massage. I will continue learning new techniques and new ways to help my clients. Next, I plan to get training in Shiatsu.

Michi has completed an advanced training course and attained certification in the Dr. Vodder method of Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) and Combined Decongestive Therapy (CDT), offered by the internationally recognized Dr. Vodder School.  The program that she completed (October, 2019) was a 160-hour intensive training course that included pathology instruction and examination by the medical director of the school.
